Beauty as a Biological Necessity

Awakening Beauty revisits fundamental questions: What is beauty? What role does it play in our lives? How does it arise within us — and what happens when we disrupt its natural function?

Through my encounters with rural artisans, potters, and children untouched by formal schooling, beauty is revealed not as a product of thought, but as our innate alignment with the logic of life — a biological intelligence that ensures harmony, appropriateness, and economy: the absence of waste.

This quality, inherent in all of nature, is gradually lost when we impose mental constructs on the organic flow of being. The turning point came with a rural woman’s effortless act of shaping a circular plate — an unconscious gesture that disclosed how the body’s own intelligence gives rise to form.

Deepened through immersive work with illiterate potters and the "sensing nature" workshops with children, the book affirms a central insight: beauty cannot be taught — it is awakened.
